The official website of the Eiffel Tower is available in French, English, Spanish, Italian, German, Chinese, Arabic, and Spanish. It includes news, practical information, e-mail postcards (a great writing activity for students), a virtual gallery and a video gallery, and more.
TRILINGUAL INDEX OF IDIOMATIC EXPRESSIONS IN ENGLISH, FRENCH AND SPANISH The site
1000 images on the tip of my tongue is interactive, and focuses on idiomatic expressions that have the same meaning in French, English and Spanish, but cannot be translated word for word. This trilingual directory provides more than 1,000 idiomatic phrases classified according to theme.Each one is inserted into a short text that illustrates its meaning and contains a digital audio file. Listening to the file allows us to fully understand all the various shades in the pronunciation. The site also includes exercises and games as well as brief, humorous animations, which contribute to the discovery of the fascinating world of colorful expressions.

FRENCH LINGUISTICS: SITE FOR THE STUDY OF THE FRENCH LANGUAGE

THE CANADIAN BROADCAST COMPANY
The Canadian Broadcast Company offers a weekly French lesson called “Word of the Week” as part of its C’est la vie series about French speaking Canadians. Each short broadcast targets one word and features different Canadian French speakers giving example sentences and discussion of it.
CULTURE FRANCOPHONE
The Culture Francophone website, which is available in French and in English, is dedicated to French culture in Canada. VRoma: A Virtual Community for Teaching and Learning Classics
The VRoma Project is first and foremost a community of scholars, both teachers and students, who create online resources for teaching about the Latin language and ancient Roman culture. The two major components of the project are its online learning environment (MOO), which has received several favorable external reviews, and its collection of internet resources. The VRoma MOO requires logging on as a guest or through your personal character and password, but all the web resources are freely accessible on the internet.

Maps of the Ancient World for Students
The Ancient World Mapping Center is developing a collection of free digital maps for educational use. This effort gives teachers and students an expanding set of small-scale reference maps for classroom and personal use. Each may be downloaded from the website in multiple formats. A blank version of each map — suitable for map quizzes and customization — is usually available.
