The group had a great week last week! Filled with interesting excursions and exhilarating activities. It’s hard to believe we only have one week left… time has FLOWN BY! As we know, the upcoming week has lots of fun planned as well. We don’t want it to end!
Monday– The group hiked and visited Zumaia — another Basque town in northern Spain. We got our workout in but also got to enjoy amazing views of the Basque country and beaches.
Tuesday–  The group was offered an optional pintxo tour. We tried out lots of local yummy things. The tour ended in famed Bar Zeruko with Michelin star! Invited kids to try their unique desert “Bob Limón”… pure deliciousness with a surprise ending. Awesome!
Wednesday– We visited Pasajes San Juan and Pasajes San Pedro — two quintessentially Basque towns — absolutely gorgeous. We talked about the Camino De Santiago (teaser for next week’s hike), visited the Museo de Albaola, crossed to San Juan in a small boat, walked through town toward a lookout point at the opening of the bay to the sea and walked back past Victor Hugo’s home.
Thursday– Cooking class! Back to Pasajes San Juan for an amazing cooking class. Homemade pintxos, fish, side dishes, dessert all amounting to an incredible 6 course meal.

Friday– Visit to Hondarribia

Saturday- Full day excursion to St. Jean de Luz and Biarritz. We had the opportunity to experience neighboring towns in France that are surprisingly much closer to Spain than many students anticipated. We visited churches (including the church where King Louis XIV and Maria Teresa we wed), town and cultural landmarks, gorgeous beaches (of course) and were able to enjoy a little time exploring the town.
Sunday – As per usual, a wonderful day for all of us to catch on some rest and have a leisurely day in our home away from home San Sebastian.
