Sunday (Arrival Day):
Students were excited to head to San Sebastian! Midday was spent in Segovia — the Alcazar and Aqueduct were a hit with the students. Many of them had already done their research and knew a lot about the city, and were able to tell us a lot about both the Alcazar and Aqueduct.
Monday, July 18:
Today was our city orientation tour!
Tuesday, July 19:
Students got to choose between taking a surfing class and going to Museo San Telmo, a local Basque culture museum. Most people went surfing: Monday and Tuesday were HOT, so it was nice to get in some ocean time!
Wednesday, July 20:
Today, due to the partially cloudy weather, our hike to Monte Igueldo was postponed for the Tabakalera (a former tobacco factory turned cultural center) — the students seemed to enjoy the library the most!
Thursday, July 21:
Most of the group went to the Basque cooking class! Those that remained enjoyed a pintxo tour in Parta Vieja. Afterwards, everyone was able to enjoy the live music on Zurriola as the jazz festival is beginning.
